Guangzhou China Dec. 16, 2010 - The market of sulphuric acid remains recession in China, because the downstream market demand of the sulphuric acid is limited. Many factories dump sulphuric acid, on the other hand, much imported sulphuric acid reach the port, intensifying the situation of sulphuric acid oversupply in China recently. At present, the transaction price of 98% sulphuric acid is USD68/t～USD83/t in China.
Price of sulphur is USD180/t～USD211/t in China, with the price keeping falling, even some can be as low as USD165/t. Price of imported sulphur is USD195/t～USD215/t and the price of home-made sulphur is lower than imported sulphur. Most of the sulphur producers take a wait-and-see attitude.
It is predicted that the price of sulphur will remain low in China, and the markets of sulphuric acid will not recover in a short time.
